Rafa Nadal ended his losing streak with a win in his final game of the season Kasper Rudd With 7-5, 7-5 for Day 3 of the Green Group, with the Norwegian already qualifying for the semi-final phase of the ATP Finals for the 2nd time in a row.

Nadal ended a year that began unimaginably and continued with the serious abdominal injury with 39 wins (39-6), while Rudd, on the other hand, was winless against a top 3 player with a record of 0-8 but also 0-20 sets !

The 36-year-old Spaniard impressed from serve position, finishing the game with 16 aces (a double fault), conceding just 3 points from 1st serve (38/41) and also notching 38 winners.

In the only time his serve was pressed in the first set, Nadal found solutions by erasing both of Ruud’s break points, who henceforth stopped threatening the Spaniard on serve.

What Ruud didn’t manage to do at this point in the set, Nadal did in the end and even in an impressive way (love game) by winning the 1st set.

The same…scenario with the same protagonist also had the 2nd set in which the world No. 2 held his serve comfortably and threatened the Norwegian again in the end, especially in game 12 and finally got the win, his first in Turin with which he graduated this year.

Rudd expects his opponent on Saturday (19.11.) in the semifinals, which will result from Stefanos Tsitsipas’ duel with Andrei Rublev on Friday evening.
