Honored Coach of Russia Vladimir Kamelzon summed up Andrey Rublev’s performance at the ATP Final Tournament.

– Rublev could not play against the Norwegian: Ruud is not a gift at all. And in this eight there is not a single player who does not know how to play tennis. All stars, many young ones. Kasper is a tall guy with brilliant technique: very light and with a good tennis mind. He found a good tactical move: he plays not just a power and endurance game, but also keeps everything in his head, looking for how to play against a specific player. He played great against Rublev – as a result, Andrei could not cope with the psychology and persistent winning game. The result 6:2, 6:4 is quite natural.

I have always said that the first set is very important. You can’t give it away. As well as it is impossible to lose games at the start. But Rublev reached the semifinals of the Final Tournament – this is a great achievement, – quotes the words of Kamelzon “Championship”.

Rublev lost to Ruud in the semi-finals and ended his performance at the Final Tournament.
