Davis Cup winner Janko Tipsarevic believes that Russian Daniil Medvedev is the only tennis player on the tour who is able to defeat ex-first racket of the world Novak Djokovic with his best game.
“I don’t want to set the others up—Alcaras, Tsitsipas, Rublev, or anyone else. But in my opinion, the only player who can beat Novak in his best physical condition and with his best game is obviously Daniil. If Novak plays his best tennis, I still don’t see any of the young players who can beat him in a five-set format, ”Championship” quotes Tipsarevic.
Medvedev and Djokovic held 12 face-to-face meetings, in eight of which the Serb won, in four – the Russian.
