Russian tennis player Diana Schneider, 109th racket of the world, named the name of an athlete who in the future could replace Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic at the top of the men’s rankings.
How did you react to the news of Roger Federer’s retirement?
– In fact, I understood that after all, he was already at an age, and the younger generation was on the way, but it was physically difficult – the person had achieved so much. And I, probably, was even happy for him that he was leaving with the greatest career, he made such a contribution to tennis. And it’s good that a person can finally exhale and rest.
I’m now wondering what will happen next with Alcaraz. Because he is 2003, only a year older than me – the first racket, the champion of the Grand Slam tournament. Will it not burn out? Will it continue to play the same way? He is an interesting character, – Schneider is quoted by “Championship”.
