Russian tennis player Aslan Karatsev told the “Championship” about the reasons for the temporary suspension of work with coach Yegor Yatsyuk.

– Where to play, what to play, with whom to work, with whom not to work – we will not go into details. We worked well with Yegor, we stopped the process with a not very reasonable decision. And there were moments that I played too many tournaments, not selectively.

Why did you break up with Yegor? Different views, now I will not go into details: my troubles. But the most important thing is that we returned, established contact. Everything is fine. The main thing is that we are ready to work. Was the decision to return to Egor? Yes, that’s what they decided. We also talked, we had a long conversation. Sorted out the errors. When we started working with him, he helped more in the psychological part – he made me believe in myself that I am a top player, I can play and be at this level, ”said Karatsev.

Earlier, information appeared in the media that Yatsyuk offered athletes monetary rewards for passing matches. The Belarusian, according to the informant, provided financial assistance to young tennis players for participating in “agreements”.

In October, it became known that Karatsev and Yatsyuk resumed cooperation.
