Davis Cup: Greece’s games against Ecuador will be closed, according to the competition’s official page in OAKA

The closed Olympic facilities will host our national team’s matches against Ecuador for the Davis Cup on February 4-5, as announced on the event’s official website.

The games are part of the playoffs of the 1st division (World Group I) and start on Saturday (2/4) at 11:00 a.m., while on Sunday (2/5) the schedule starts at 12:00 p.m.

We remind you that in 2022 Greece achieved two victories in the competition, beating both Jamaica last March in Pallini in a match to remain in the 2nd category (World Group II) and Tunisia (in Tunisia) while they were there now against Ecuador claim to be doing the insurgency

This particular project is expected to be very large and it will be necessary to make a major intervention on the parquet to transform it into an indoor hard court that will be “clamped” to the parquet and will be ready in the week of the Davis Cup (ie from Monday 31st January) to allow teams to train on the same field.

Equally important is the fact that the problems with the Euroleague have been overcome as there will be no competition measures during this period.
