Stefanos Tsitsipas, in the interview he gave to Cosmote TV, among others, spoke about the game with Nick Kyrgios in which he was crazy, declaring that it was the most uncomfortable situation he had ever been in.

Last July, Nick Kyrgios (No. 22) interrupted Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 4) at Wimbledon, won 3-1 sets (6-7, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6) with an upset in a game that had plenty of excitement. The Australian constantly provoked the Greek tennis player with his well-known tricks, who didn’t keep his cool.

Tsitsipas referred to this game in the interview he gave to Cosmote TV, commenting that it has never been seen before in such an awkward position.

We remind you that the Greek deviated and threw a ball near the stands, which resulted in a point penalty.

“I’ve never been in such an awkward situation where my opponent tried so hard to throw me off the pace. He used everything he could against me, which I found very unethical.

There was a backlash afterwards, which of course I’m not proud of, even now that I think about it, I don’t know how that happened. It was an automatic reaction and I have to be very careful in the future so it doesn’t happen again.”

Regarding the unforgettable night of Roger Federer’s final match on the tour, which he was fortunate to witness first-hand, and his retirement, he said:

“I wanted to go to him and sit next to him, but then I thought that this seat belongs to Nadal. Nobody said anything to me, but I felt it. It was a very beautiful moment and at the same time sad because tennis lost a legend I cried 2 days in a row, even the next morning when I woke up it was hard for me to understand what happened.

THE springerit meant everything to me. That’s why I started playing tennis and dreamed of winning Wimbledon, and of course one of the reasons I started playing one-handed backhands. I didn’t believe it and it took me a while to process it, but of course it was a very special night that I will remember for the rest of my life.”
