Boris Becker was released from prison to be deported from England
After eight months in prison for tax evasion, Boris Becker is released from custody in England for deportation.
Boris Becker’s standoff with English law enforcement ended with the tennis star being released from prison to face deportation.
We recall that the holder of six Grand Slam titles was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison after being found guilty of tax evasion and money laundering.
The original sentence called for him to spend the first 15 months in prison and the rest at home under house arrest.
Becker showed good behavior and after eight months it was decided to deport him from England and continue his sentence in Germany.

Four Ukrainian tennis players were included in the doubles entry list Australian Open 2025.
Ukrainian women will play in the doubles tournament on the courts of Melbourne: Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya, Lyudmila Kichenok and Nadezhda Kichenok. Unfortunately, there will be no all-Ukrainian tandem in Australia.
Kostyuk will perform alongside Elena-Gabriela Ruse at the Aus Open, and Yastremskaya will play alongside Alisha Parks.
Lyudmila and Nadezhda will not play together at AO-2026, although they will start the season with the same duet in the Brisbane 500 meters. It was announced that Lyudmila will be with Katie Volynets, and Nadezhda will be with Makoto Ninomiya.
Australian Open 2026 will take place from January 12 to February 1. Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya and Alexandra Oleynikova will represent Ukraine in singles. Yulia Starodubtseva, Angelina Kalinina, Daria Snigur and Vitaly Sachko will perform in the eliminations.
