Australian Open. Six representatives of Ukraine qualified
The 2023 Australian Open qualifiers have been announced.
Six representatives of Ukraine will perform in the qualifying tournament: five women and one man.
Declared in the women’s qualifiers: Katerina Beindl (No. 99 WTA), Dayana Yastremskaya (No. 101 WTA), Lesya Tsurenko (No. 138 WTA), Daria Snigur (No. 149 WTA) and Katharina Zawatskayausing “protected rating” (No. 145 WTA).
It is worth noting that Bindl and Yastremska are in the second and third places of the alternative list to participate in the main draw and retain their chance to start directly.
Men will play in the qualifiers Alexei Krutykh (No. 185 ATP), this will be the first Grand Slam tournament for it.
Australian Open qualifiers begin on January 9th.
