Lyudmila KICHENOK: “I will continue to play with Alena Ostapenko for another season or two”

“My pre-season was in Bratislava because I moved there with my boyfriend and we will definitely live there next year and then we will see. We arrived in Adelaide on 21 December and we continue our preparations here.
Did you manage to relax completely in the off-season? Since we moved from Latvia to Bratislava by car with everything and household issues, I can say that looking for an apartment takes a lot of time and effort.
I will continue to play with Alena Ostapenko this season. We have an agreement to perform together this year, maybe next year. We’ll see how it all turns out for us.
There are no new people on the team. I continue to work with Jeff Coetze, whom we started working with at the end of this year, and he will be with me in some tournaments and into the new season. Also my boyfriend and also my coach Stas Khmarsky helps me a lot. Also, a physical education coach Yuri Zhurakovsky works with me,” said Kichenok.
