Maria Sakkari, one class higher, beat Viktoria Tomova 2-0 (6:3, 6:2) and sealed Greece’s dominance in the duel with Bulgaria.

Maria Sakkari (world No. 6) did what she had to do against Victoria Tomova (world No. 90), bowing the Bulgarian tennis player 2-0 sets (6-3, 6-2) and securing the win in Greece in a draw with Bulgaria in the United Cup.

The Greek champions lived up to expectations and now, after the defeat of Michalis Pervolarakis (1-3 at the hands of Dimitar Kuzmanov), the only thing left is the mixed doubles, in which Sakkari will take part alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas.

After the end of the duel with Bulgaria, Greece will be invited to face Belgium (January 2-3) and hope for victory there to reach the final in Perth.
