Aslan Karatsev can win the ATP tournament in Pune if he plays as confidently as in the first round against Spaniard Pablo Andujar (6:1, 6:3), former Russian tennis player Andrey Olkhovsky believes.

– In my opinion, Aslan played confidently, especially in the first set. Tactically, this is how you should play against the Spaniards. He played a lot on the court, did not give the opponent much time, and Andujar could not cope with the proposed pace.

Judging by Karatsev’s performance in the first match, he can beat many opponents in this tournament. Against Andujar, he played confidently. Further, much depends on whether he will have this confidence in the next match. The first opponent was quite comfortable, then it will, of course, be more difficult. But if Aslan plays just as confidently, then he has a good chance of winning,” Olkhovsky told RB Sport.

Karatsev will face Tim Van Rijthoven from the Netherlands in the second round.
