Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok with his partner Alena Ostapenko (Latvia) lost the semi-finals of the WTA 500 series hard doubles tournament held in Adelaide (Australia).
In the semifinals of the tournament, Lyudmila and Alena lost to the American duo. Eja Mohammed / Taylor Townsend Three sets of 1 hour and 25 minutes.

In the final tiebreak Lyudmila and Alena won by a score of 7:4 but missed the advantage.
In the previous round of the competition, the Ukraine-Latvia duo defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova and Zhang Shuai.
