After losing Russian Daniil Medvedev to Serbian Novak Djokovic in Adelaide, tennis players are preparing for the Australian Open, according to two-time Grand Slam singles champion, former world No. 1 Yevgeny Kafelnikov.
Djokovic defeated Medvedev on Saturday in the semi-finals of the tournament in Adelaide (Australia) with a score of 6:4, 6:3.
– I do not consider this defeat a wake-up call for Medvedev. Nothing terrible happened. It was the first tournament of the season, they played the semi-finals. Both tennis players received the necessary game practice – a standard situation. Getting ready for the Australian Open. Nothing critical happened, – said Kafelnikov “Championship”.
The Australian Open 2023 will be held in Melbourne from 16 to 29 January.
