WTA Hobart. Bindl wins over Golubich to qualifying final
Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl (No. 99 WTA) Reached the WTA 250 qualifying final in Hobart. In the semi-finals of the selection, the Ukrainian defeated Switzerland’s Victoria Golubich (#76 WTA) in three sets.
Having won her opponent’s serves in the seventh and ninth games in the first set, Katerina completed the first game in her favor. However, in the second set, Golubich equalized with another time-out. The Ukrainian started the decisive game with a serve that he lost, but responded by taking a break in the next match. Another winning step of the opponent was decisive: Bindl won the match.
Bindl will face Kamila Rakhimova (WTA #94) or Lauren Davis (WTA #87) in the qualifying final.
