Osaka announced she’s pregnant, her emotional post
Naomi Osaka revealed in a post she shared on social media that she is expecting her first child with partner YBN Cordae.
Naomi Osaka withdrew her participation in the upcoming Australian Open a few days ago and announced the reason for this step on Wednesday (November 1st).
This time it’s not an injury that’s keeping the 25-year-old from playing an active role.
The four-time Grand Slam title holder and former world No. 1 tennis player, she revealed, is pregnant and expecting her first child with longtime partner YBN Cordae (rapper)!
Posting on social media, Osaka revealed that it will take her…a while to get back to tennis, while writing about the new, big chapter that is about to begin in her life:
“The last few years have been exciting, to say the least. But through her, I discovered that the most difficult moments of your life can also be the most pleasant.
These few months without tennis made me love and give thanks again to the sport I have dedicated my life to. I understood that life is very short and that every moment should not go unnoticed.
Every day is a blessing and a new adventure. I know I have a lot to deal with in the future. One is that I want my kid to see me play tennis on TV and say to his friends, “This is my mom.”
2023 will be a year from which I have many lessons to learn and I hope to see you back on the courts from next season as I intend to be at the Australian Open in 2024.
