15-year-old criminal Snigur breaks ground for Australian Open
15 years Brenda Frugvirtova Successfully qualified for the Australian Open from the Czech Republic (No. 132 WTA).
In the final of the selection, the Czech defeated the Spaniard Jessica Buzas Maneiro (#183 WTA) in three sets.

Note that in a similar fashion, Frugvirtova Jr. defeated Ukrainian Daria Snigur in the second round. The Czech also lost the first match and then took the initiative with a tie-break in the second set.
