Daniil Medvedev will play even better in the new season if he does not have injuries, said Shamil Tarpishchev, president of the Russian Tennis Federation, to Metaratings.ru.
— What are your expectations from Daniil Medvedev for this season? Last year, for the first time in his career, he climbed to the top of the world rankings.
– If there are no injuries and there is a normal preparatory period, then he will play even better and continue to fight for the first place in the world rankings.
Medvedev finished the 2022 season in seventh place in the ATP rankings. In 2022, the Russian won two ATP series tournaments and also played in the final of the Australian Open.
