Veronika Kudermetova advanced to the second round of the Australian Open, Rodina eliminated

Russian Veronika Kudermetova beat Belgian Marina Zanevskaya in the first round of the Australian Open.

The meeting lasted 1 hour 38 minutes and ended with the score 6:2, 7:6 (7:4). The Russian woman has six aces, two double faults and three out of four realized break points.

In the next round of the tournament, Kudermetova will play with American Kathy Volynets, who previously defeated another Russian woman Evgenia Rodina – 6:3, 6:2.
