In Australia, tsitsipas and sakkari became souvlaki and snacks for a good cause
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari gave their name to a skewer and snack in Australia for a good cause, the proceeds of the products go to support children from disadvantaged families.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari, who are in Melbourne, are ready for the fight for the Australian Open on Monday (January 16).
The two top tennis players have their own products after offering a skewer and snacks for a good cause at Melbourne Park.
Tsitsipas’ famous souvlaki “The Stef” and Sakkari’s snack pack “The Sakkari Snack Pack” went on sale, with proceeds going to the Australian Tennis Foundation, as part of an initiative to support children from disadvantaged families to get involved in the sport.
“I am proud to once again work with the Stalactites team for causes that are close to our hearts. I’m thrilled to have created my own souvlaki and to raise money for a cause close to my heart. After Athens, Melbourne is where you want to be. This is where I feel closest to home. The relationships I’ve made here, the memories, it’s the place that brings me joy.” said the 24-year-old tennis player.
“When I walk the streets, I keep hearing Greek. Sometimes I think I should be careful what I say! The most amazing thing for us is the support of the people from the first moment. We’re honored to experience this every time we play here,” said Sakkari for her part.

Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Rybakina, who received the fifth seed from the organizers, beat the 21st seed Elise Mertens from Belgium in the fourth round match with a score of 6:1, 6:3. The match lasted 1 hour 17 minutes.
