Russian Oksana Selekhmetyeva lost to Croatian tennis player Donna Vekic in the first round of the Australian Open.

The match lasted 2 hours 57 minutes of pure time and ended with a score of 6:2, 2:6, 7:6 (10:7) in favor of the Croatian. The game was interrupted twice due to rain: first for almost three hours, and the second time it was decided to postpone it to the next day.

Selekhmetyeva made three aces, made eight double faults. She has four realized break-points out of eight.

Vekic in the second round will play with Russia’s Ludmila Samsonova, who previously defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini.
