Alena OSTAPENKO: “I worked hard on movement and physical education”
Latvian tennis player Alena Ostapenko He commented on the win against Ukraine’s Katerina Beindl in the third round of the Australian Open and also talked about the pre-season work.
“It was a really good game today. I felt that I played very well. Better than the previous two rounds. I didn’t give my opponent too many chances, so I’m very happy with my game today.
During the pre-season, I worked a lot on movement and physical preparation. And yes, on top of everything. I’m trying to get on the field and practice to play aggressively on the field. This is very important.
It takes time for the opponents, less time to run and carry the ball. I think that was the most important thing out of season. And of course movement,” said Ostapenko.
In the next round of the tournament, Ostapenko will face 18-year-old American Corey Gauff (WTA #7).
