Khachanov made it to the fourth round of the Australian Open for the first time in his career

Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov reached the fourth round of the Australian Open for the first time in his career.
Khachanov, who received the 18th seed, defeated American Francis Tiafoe (16) in the third round match with a score of 6:3, 6:4, 3:6, 7:6 (11:9). The meeting lasted over three and a half hours.
Khachanov’s next opponent at the Australian Open will be Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka (31st seed).
Previously, the best result of the Russians in the tournament was reaching the third round.
