The first racket is out. Half of those who attended the 1/4 finals of the Aus Open are known

On 22 January, the fourth round matches of the Australian Open tennis championship took place in the top half of the women’s tournament group.

Iga Sviontek, the world’s first racket, lost the tournament to Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan.

Also, 18-year-old American Corey Gauff, who was stopped by Latvian Alena Ostapenko, could not reach the 1/4 final.

Jessica Pegula defeated Czech Barbora Kreychikova, confirming the title of one of the main favourites. Of these four, only one American has not won a Grand Slam tournament.
