Tsitsipas: “My dream is to speak many languages, I want to learn Mandarin Chinese or Japanese”
Stefanos Tsitsipas confessed his dream of becoming fluent in many languages on the official website of the Australian Open and revealed that he would like to learn Mandarin Chinese or Japanese, among other things.
In addition to tennis, Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 4) has another love: learning foreign languages, as he revealed on the official website of the Australian Open.
The Greek tennis player already speaks Greek, English and Russian but admitted that one of the things he would like to add to his ‘resume’ Mandarin Chinese or Japanese.
“Ever since I was a child, my dream has been to be able to speak many languages fluently. I haven’t had the opportunity to do this for a number of years due to my travels. I tend to hesitate.
If I wasn’t as active in tennis as I am now, I would definitely want to learn more languages and have the ability to communicate with any culture or people in the world.
I think she’s a superpower. I want to learn Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin or Japanese.”
Regarding the Australian Open, he said:It’s a fresh start. It’s a new opportunity to come here and show good tennis. I have prepared very intensively to present something fresh for 2023.
Australia is a great travel destination. I think my tennis is in good shape at the moment. I just have to start strong. I have to be there mentally.
Of course, when you win, your confidence increases greatly, and at the same time it tends to feed your ego. Therefore, it is important to find your balance and not feel cocky.
And of course it’s important to have a clear head in a rally like this.”
