On 23 January, the fourth round matches of the Australian Open took place in the lower half of the men’s tournament group.

Andrey Rublev regained the doubles points and 0:5 in the final tie-break of the match against Holger Rune.

Ben Shelton, 20, beat compatriot JJ Wolfe to reach the quarterfinals on his first try.

Novak Djokovic left no chance to Alex de Minaur, Tommy Paul defeated Roberto Bautista-Aguta.
