The 20-year-old American reached the 1/4 final of the Australian Open on the first try

On 23 January, the fourth round matches of the Australian Open took place in the lower half of the men’s tournament group.

20-year-old American Ben Shelton, who has not played at the Australian Open before, defeated compatriot JJ Wolfe in the fourth round.

For Shelton, who is ranked 89th in the world. This is the biggest achievement in his career. He made his debut at the US Open 2022 on a Grand Slam tournament basis.

In the 1/4 final, Ben will play with the winner of the match, Roberto Bautista-Agut – Tommy Paul.
