Famous Soviet and Russian tennis player Andrey Olkhovsky believes that Russian Andrey Rublev performed well at the Australian Open, despite losing to Serb Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals.
The meeting between Rublev and Djokovic lasted 2 hours and 5 minutes and ended with the Serb’s victory with a score of 3:0 (6:1, 6:2, 6:4).
– I think Andrei showed a very good performance, we must pay tribute. The previous match showed it. Yes, it was hard today with Djokovic, very hard, and Novak is playing confidently. You can’t go wrong against him, but today it didn’t work out a bit. He showed a very good result at this Australian Open,” Olkhovsky told Vprognoze.ru.
In the semi-finals of the tournament, Djokovic will play with the American Tommy Paul.
