Russian Khachanov earned about 25 million rubles at the Australian Open

Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov earned 925 thousand Australian dollars for his performance at the Australian Open, according to Metaratings.ru.

It is noted that given the taxation in Australia, the athlete will be forced to return to the state about 45% of the prize money. Thus, the prize money of the Russian athlete will amount to 509 thousand dollars (25 million rubles).

Earlier on Friday, Khachanov lost in four sets to the representative of Greece Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals of the Australian Open – 6:7 (2:7), 4:6, 7:6 (8:6), 3:6.

The final match will take place in Melbourne on 29 January. The opponent of the Greek will be determined in the game between Serb Novak Djokovic and American Tommy Paul.
