Belarusian tennis player Arina Sobolenko defeated Kazakhstan’s Yelena Rybakina in the Australian Open final.
The meeting, held on Saturday in Melbourne, ended with a strong-willed victory for the Belarusian – 4:6, 6:3, 6:4. The opponents spent 2 hours and 28 minutes on the court. Sobolenko made 17 innings right through, against 9 aces from Rybakina.
The 24-year-old tennis player won the Grand Slam for the first time in her career. Previously, she reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon and the US Open.
