Djokovic on his injury: ‘In a few days you will know everything’
Novak Djokovic did not hide his anger at what was heard about his injury and stressed that he will continue with revelations.
Novak Djokovic won his 22nd career Grand Slam and 10th at the Australian Open. However, during his usual photoshoot with the trophy, he spoke to members of the press and did not hide his anger at what was heard about his injury.
Nole wasn’t hiding and announced that he will soon reveal what he went through to compete in the Australian Open: “I considered posting something about the injury and I said to myself I will, I will. I’ll go into detail and post pictures on social media of everything I’ve been through.
I don’t want to sound miserable for winning the trophy. But something similar happened two years ago and people are still questioning it, saying different things, making fun of it, etc. I feel like I have to show and prove certain things. Not so much for her, but for me – some comments bother me. You’ll learn everything in a few days.”
He then referred to the training sessions that he did not complete due to injury: “The facts speak for themselves, I had to deal with the injury in a certain way to be ready for the next game.
If it were something trivial, I would work out, right? There were things I would like to work on for half an hour in training, for example the tactics for the next opponent. I wanted to train for the last 4-5 days but my team wouldn’t let me.”
