SVITOLINA: The rising star of track and field athletics is dead. There are no athletes of the Russian Federation!

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina On the social network Instagram posted a post in which the IOC speaks out against attempts to extradite athletes from the terrorist states of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus to the Olympic Games:

“The Olympic Games are the biggest dream and the greatest privilege of athletes. It is the largest platform for inclusion and diversity in sport and captures the world’s attention. With this in mind, we must comply with the ban on Russian and Belarusian athletes, giving a strong signal to the world.

It’s a sign that we are united in the sanctions against Russia and Belarus, and that their governments’ heinous actions have consequences. Their lives cannot go on as usual. Neither the Russian nor the Belarusian people can ignore the atrocities committed in Ukraine.
