Stefanos Tsitsipas did his duty against Andres Andrade. The Greek top tennis player won a 2-0 set against his opponent from Ecuador and qualified Greece for the next stage of the Davis Cup.

Our national team will play their next game next September and, if they qualify, will receive a ticket for the promotion games in February 2023.

The match: In the first set, the two tennis players held their serve without any particular problems and that’s how we got into the tie-break.

Stefanos Tsitsipas was stormy there and didn’t give his opponent much space. In fact, Andrade only picked up a point as Steph finished the set 7-6 (1).

Things got easier for the world No. 3 in the second set. Stefanos Tsitsipas had already found his rhythm and was able to take a 4-0 lead.

It was easy for Steph from there, finishing the set 6-1 and celebrating him and his teammates at the end of the game.
