Daria LOPATETSKAYA: “We were a little scared but so far so good”
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Lopatetskaya, who was in Turkey, where she played in the ITF tournament in Antalya, shared her feelings about the earthquake she experienced. As you know, in the early morning and later afternoon of February 6, a series of strong earthquakes occurred in southeastern Turkey and simultaneously in Syria, causing serious destruction and human casualties in many parts of the country.
“We felt the shaking in our hotel. Many football players and coaches of Dynamo Kiev are also located in this hotel. Everyone woke up, they were a little scared, but so far everything is fine for us, no one was hurt. Alexander Brainin, Ivan Sergeev and Nastya Soboleva are also in Antalya now. They all live in an apartment about 10 km from us. We talked to them in the morning and everything is fine with them. But all matches were cancelled, ”confessed Lopatetskaya.
As you know, Turkish authorities have decided to cancel all sports competitions in the coming days.
