Tsitsipas’ program until the beginning of April
Stefanos Tsitsipas will take part in four major tournaments by early April. The program of the Greek tennis player in detail.
After a stellar start to the season in Australia, Stefanos Tsitsipas (No.3) traveled to Athens last week where he competed with the national emblem on his chest and led our national Davis Cup team to promotion to World Group I.
After the very successful weekend of matches at the closed OAKA, the 24-year-old Greek is already moving at the pace of the ATP Tour as he is just days away from his return to ATP events.
Until the beginning of April, Stefanos will take part in four major tournaments, making his calendar a bit different from previous years.
More specifically, he will compete in the week of February 13-19 at the ATP 500 event in Rotterdam, where he reached the final last year and was defeated by Felix Ozer Aliassim.
The big difference in this year’s program has to do with the fact that after six consecutive appearances at the ATP 250 tournament in Marseille, where he was crowned champion for two years (2019, 2020), he decided not to compete this year to attend the event. Take off, the week of February 20-26.
He will then rest and travel to Mexico to compete in both singles and doubles at the Abierto Mexicano in Acapulco (February 27 – March 4).
Of course, he will finish his march and take part in the two very big appointments of American tennis.
From March 8th to 19th he will be in the California desert where he will compete in the Indian Wells Masters (ATP 1000), while from March 22nd to April 2nd he will compete in the Miami Masters (ATP 1000).
Detailed schedule until early April:
- February 13-19: ABN Amro Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam (ATP 500)
- February 27 – March 4: Abierto Mexicano, in Acapulco (ATP 500)
- March 8-19: BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells (ATP 1000)
