Sakkari defeated Paritha Dias 2-0 to qualify for the next round of the Leeds tournament.

Maria Sakkari returned to the WTA Tour with a positive result, defeating Nuria Parithas Diath in her debut at the Indoor 250 tournament in Austria.

The 27-year-old Greek and No. 1 on this week’s board in Leeds impressed, beating the Spaniard and world No. 76 6-1, 7-6(6).
