Sakkari fell to world No. 7, Barty remains first
Despite reaching the semi-finals in Doha, Maria Sakkari finally lost a place in the world rankings and will be in 7th place as of Monday (February 28). Ashley Barty remains on top.
Maria Sakkari dropped one place in the world rankings and has been in 7th place since Monday (February 28). The top Greek tennis player fell a step behind with 4,436 points despite reaching the semifinals in Doha.
Despina Papamichael made up six more places (170th with 382 points), while Valentini Grammatikopoulou dropped a notch (189th with 353 points). At the top is Ashley Barty from Australia.
