“I am a pretty lonely person. I am comfortable alone. In the first months of the war, I talked more with my family because I was in Kiev and they were in Belogorodka.

I talked to my children, to my wife, because at that time I was still somehow trying to sort everything out, what was going on here, I apologize for such a remark. And the fact that they live there in a normal environment does not mean that everything looks like that in Ukraine. Because here in Ukraine it is completely different, people are losing their children, their parents, their families.

– You broke up because you went to fight?

– Yes. The war hastened this. It accelerated the processes of mutual understanding. It showed black and white. Here you are either living or dead. Or you get hurt. There is no such thing here that you can somehow make politics, somehow come to an agreement. Everything is very simple and sometimes very scary.

– Do you regret this decision?

– Sorry about the kids. I was sure that I would never do such a thing in my life. “For some reason, I am ashamed here because this will be the biggest blow for my children,” he said.
