The final match of the ATP 250 series tournament was played on Sunday, February 22 in Dallas (USA). Fought for the title Vu Yibin (China, ATP 97) and John Isner (USA, ATP 39).

The match ended with three tie-breaks in 3 hours and 2 minutes. During the duel, the tennis players never gave up their serve.

Wu Yibin saved 3 match points in total. The 23-year-old Chinese player lost one championship point to Isner on his serve in Game 12 of the second set, and then saved 2 more in the tie-break of the third set.

The 16th point in the final tie-break could have been the end of the game. But Isner did not take the chance to close his opponent and take the trophy, but unsuccessfully set from an easy position and hit the ball in the net.

With this win, Wu Yibin received the first ATP trophy of his career and also became the first Chinese to win the ATP title.

On Saturday, Sabalenka beat Canada’s Victoria Mboko 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) to reach the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. Sabalenka won her 20th consecutive tiebreaker at Grand Slam tournaments and set a new record, surpassing Djokovic’s achievement (19).

“I’m upset now,” Djokovic responded to the record on social networks.

In the next round of competition, Sabalenka will meet with 18-year-old American Iva Jovic.
