Potapova climbed 13 places in the WTA rankings after winning the tournament in Linz, Samsonova won back four places
Russian Anastasia Potapova moved from 44th to 31st place in the ranking of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), a new version of which is published on site organizations.
On Sunday, Potapova won the tournament in Linz, Austria, in the final of which she defeated Croatian Petra Martic.
Lyudmila Samsonova moved up from 19th to 15th after she reached the final of the tournament in Abu Dhabi, where she lost to Swiss Belinda Bencic, who remains in ninth place.
The best among Russians is Daria Kasatkina (eighth position), who stopped at the ¼ finals of the tournament in Abu Dhabi. The first line in the ranking is retained by the Polish Iga Sventek.
