The quarter-finals of the WTA 500 series tournament took place on Thursday, February 16 in Doha (Qatar).
The world’s first racket, Iga Sventek, advanced to the semi-finals of the competition. The Polish would face Belinda Bencic, but the Swiss player withdrew from the tournament.
The match between Coco Gauff and Veronika Kudermetova ended unexpectedly. Unfortunately, the representative of the Russian Federation defeated the American in three sets. Jessica Pegula and Maria Sakkari also won their match.
