Marian Vajda, one of the most distinguished coaches in the history of tennis, is no longer the coach of Novak Djokovic.
It seems that the two long-term partners decided by mutual agreement to end their relationship after the ATP finals in Turin, at the end of 2021.
The Slovak instructor was not in the former No. 1 in the world in Melbourne or Dubai. However, he had defended his protégé during an interview with aktuality.sk during his no-vaccination epic last month.
Everything shows that the rest of Djoko’s coaching staff remains intact, that is, that it maintains the services of Goran Ivanisevic, physiotherapists Ulises Badio and Miljan Amanovic, as well as coach Marco Panichi.
Vajda had worked alongside “Nole” for more than 16 years, winning each of his 20 Grand Slam titles.
Their collaboration had started shortly before Roland-Garros, in 2006, and apart from a short break, they had been collaborating ever since.
