WTA ranking. Tsurenko again entered the top hundred, Yastremskaya lost 23 positions
The women played in the WTA 500 tournament in Doha last week. The winner of the competition in Qatar was Iga Sviontek, the world’s first racket to retain its title. Finalist Jessica Pegula entered the top three in the world classification for the first time. That’s the only change in the top 10.
Top 10 WTA Rankings
As for the Ukrainians, our first two rackets held their positions. Katerina Beindl moved up three places, Lesya Tsurenko returned to the top 100. Dayana Yastremskaya, who lost 125 points in the quarter-finals of the competition held in Dubai last year, visibly regressed in the ranking. Another 180 points will be deducted from Dayana for the final in Lyon on March 6, this has to be compensated somehow.
Daria Snigur also sank in the rankings, Katarina Zavatskaya fell 3 places, but in her case this means almost nothing.
Ukrainian women in the WTA ranking
Lyudmila Kichenok retained her place in the top ten of the doubles rating. Marta Kostyuk remains in 32nd place, while Nadezhda Kichenok moves up to 62nd place.
