Shame on ATP. Russian tennis player won the prestigious tournament in Rotterdam
On Sunday, February 19, the final match of the prestigious ATP 500 series tournament took place in Rotterdam (Netherlands). Yannick Sinner (Italy, ATP 14) and Danil Medvedev (ATP 11) from Russia.
The representative of the terror country won the victory in three sets in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
ATP 500 Rotterdam. It’s hard inside. End
Yannick Sinner (Italy) – Danil Medvedev – 7:5, 2:6, 2:6
12 months after the Russian Federation’s total occupation of Ukraine, the tennis federations ATP, WTA and ITF continue to allow Russians to participate in tournaments and win competitions. The rationale is “simple” – the Russians are acting under a neutral flag.
Interestingly, this was the second consecutive final for Sinner. He had previously won the trophy in Montpellier.
