Nadal: ‘With so many injuries, it’s a miracle I’ve never dropped out of the top 10’
Rafael Nadal has spoken about his return to action, claiming it’s a miracle he hasn’t dropped out of the top 10 after so many injuries.
Rafa Nadal spoke about his return to action during his attendance at the Santiago Bernabeu where he watched Real’s game against Barcelona.
The 36-year-old Spaniard, who will be outside the top-10 after 18 years immediately after graduating from Indian Wells, spoke about his injury at the Australian Open but also that he will remain outside the top-10.
“With so many injuries I’ve had over the years, it’s a wonder I’ve never dropped out of the top 10.” said the Spaniard.
Nadal, who has already started training on clay, has been charged with his injury in Melbourne.
“I’m slowly recovering and watching it week in and week out. I’m doing tests and seeing how the injury is progressing. In Australia I had a big tear. It’s recovering slower than we’d like, but I have no choice, I just have to be patient.”
“I’m not 20 years old anymore, but I’m doing my best. Every day I’m at the academy and I train, I train, I spend 15-20 minutes on the court so that my hands don’t relax you.” said Nadal.
When we’ll see him back on the pitches, the Spaniard said: “I don’t know if I’ll be ready for Monte Carlo, Barcelona or Madrid, if I feel like I’m ready I’ll come back. My big goal .” is ready for Roland Garros”.
