Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev admitted that it is difficult for him to compare his form with that which he had during the victorious US Open.

Medvedev on Saturday in the decisive match of the tournament in Dubai beat compatriot Andrei Rublev with a score of 6:2, 6:2. The former world No. 1 extended his winning streak to 14 matches and won his third ATP title in a row.

– So it is very difficult to compare with the form at the US Open. Let’s say that with each new year there are different sensations both from loss and from victories – sometimes better, sometimes worse. You just know that I am in very good shape. I am very glad that I managed to score, but I try not to compare with something in the past. I’m just enjoying the moment. I will try to maintain this confident form as long as possible,” Medvedev told the “Championship”.

Medvedev defeated Serb Novak Djokovic in September 2021 in the final of the US Open with a score of 6:4, 6:4, 6:4, winning his first Grand Slam title.
