Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev said that he did not contact Andrei Rublev before their final match at the ATP‑500 tournament in Dubai (UAE).
The match ended with the score 6:2, 6:2 in favor of Medvedev.
– No, we, of course, did not write off and did not call each other before the final – we see each other on the courts (smiles). In this regard, nothing was said, because both have been to the finals many times, but never against each other. Therefore, probably, everyone was preparing for the final, as he was used to. Today we will be on the same plane flying to Indian Wells. Maybe we’ll discuss something, chat more about something,” Medvedev told the “Championship”.
Medvedev won his third ATP title in a row. Earlier, the 27-year-old Russian became the winner of competitions in Doha and Rotterdam. In total, Medvedev has 18 trophies in singles.
