Tennis tournaments in the United States will lose from the absence of Serb Novak Djokovic, says Andrey Olkhovsky, finalist at Roland Garros -1992.

Earlier, the media reported that Djokovic asked for permission to enter the States without being vaccinated against coronavirus infection, but was refused.

– Tournaments lose a lot from this. The situation is repeated when Djokovic is deprived of the right to take part in tournaments. He can get vaccinated, but he already decided it for himself, therefore, if we consider it from the standpoint of the quality of the tournament, then of course, the tournament loses from this, – Olkhovsky told Vprognoze.ru.

Earlier, the US authorities extended the entry ban for unvaccinated athletes until May 11. Thus, Djokovic will not take part in the upcoming tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami.
