Russian tennis players Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev are among the best players and claim to win the Indian Wells tournament, says Andrei Olkhovsky, two-time Grand Slam winner in mixed doubles.

– Medvedev and Rublev are now one of the best players and claim to win. They are capable of reaching the final.

It is difficult to say how long Medvedev will be able to maintain such a great shape. The first matches in Indian Wells will be quite difficult for him due to acclimatization. For the last three weeks he was constantly playing, and then he had a flight from Asia to the USA. If Daniil copes with this, then, judging by his performance at the tournament in Dubai, we can expect a good result from him. Still, in Indian Wells, he will have to play for 10 days, but there will be breaks between matches, – Olkhovsky told Vprognoze.ru.

The Masters in Indian Wells runs March 8-19. Medvedev’s opponent in the second round was the American Brandon Nakashima. Rublev will play with the Czech Jiri Lehechka.
