PARIS – The new ATP rankings, published on Monday, remain almost unchanged, as the last week was dedicated to the qualifying round for the final phase of the Davis Cup.

Daniil Medvedev enters his second week as No. 1, but without the Russian flag. The ATP and the WTA have indeed accepted that Russian and Belarusian players can continue to participate in their tournaments, but under a neutral regime, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in which Belarus cooperates.

Andrei Rublev’s compatriot, who was also deprived of the flag, is one of his few players top 20 to lose a place (dropped to 7th), with Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz (now 11th).

Italians Matteo Berrettini and Jannik Sinner have the opportunity to climb to 6th and 10th place respectively before the start of the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells, California on Thursday.
